This is really the first time Boruto has experienced losing someone close to him. I'm sure that will be important for his character development.

While I love next gen-type stories, and Boruto is a good series, I despise how they turned it into a high-tech sci-fi series. It really doesn't fit with the world as a whole and it's really ruined the story.

They're being incredibly naïve, they're all going to die. *facepalms*
